The Brend Tower is located on the summit of the Brend in the central Black Forest. The tower is at a height of 1,149 m and is therefore the highest elevation in the city of Furtwangen.If you're searching for the ultimate escape from the city and traffic, look no further than Brend 'Aussichtturm', a tower with a panoramic view of a unique Alpine panorama on a clear day n the local mountain in Furtwangen.

When visibility is good, you can even see as far as the Rhine plain and the Vosges.It is an ideal location to hike from Furtwangen which will takes you a couple of hours walking through dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages.

Brend tower can be visited only in summers from April-October.Due to ice formation on the stairs and especially due to ice falling from the antennas on the tower, the Brendturm is closed during the winter months (November - March). There are warning signs at the entrance to the tower.
